Reflect what you are

I want to thank Jacob Fortin of The Good Atheist podcast for putting a link to my blog on one of his posts. I e-mailed him about the National Organization for Marriage advert that I spoke about in my last blog. It was only two days ago that I hit 200 views and I've had 150 since then. So thanks everyone, I appreciate the support.

I was watching Lost today and I have found a hell of a quote from Mr. Eko. I ask that you read the whole thing, because it really is fantastic. I love Lost, it is the best show on television for a long time.

"For a brief time I served in a small parish in England, and every Sunday after mass, I would see a young boy waiting at the back of the church. And then one day the boy confessed to me that he had beaten his dog to death with a shovel. He said the dog had bitten his baby sister on the cheek and he needed to protect her. And he wanted to know whether he would go to Hell for this. I told him that God would understand, that he would be forgiven, as long as he was sorry. But the boy did not care about forgiveness. He was only afraid that if he did go to Hell, that dog would be there waiting for him."

It's Easter Sunday. I don't really care much for Easter. I had turkey sandwiches for dinner. We didn't really fancy a big Easter dinner this time round. I've had some of my egg, but not much. I remember when I used to get an egg from various family members. Now I just get one from my parents and I prefer that by far.

I always used to wonder why the date of Easter changed. I mean, Easter is arguably more important than Christmas in the Christian faith, so why does the date change every year? Well I found out that it's based around the Spring Equinox, which I guess I knew already. Easter is always the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. The more you know.

I don't really have a lot else to say. Not a whole lot has happened since my last post. It's my friend's birthday today so I'll give him his gift at some point.

Oh and I recently bought "The Velvet Underground & Nico" by The Velvet Underground & Nico, otherwise known as "The Banana Album". I was never really sure of The Velvet Underground, as their sound varies so greatly from song to song. Like, how can you compare "I'm Sticking With You" with "Venus in Furs". It's quite astonishing. I love the album though. I think my favourite song is "I'll Be Your Mirror". I don't know though, it's an excellent album. It's also only £4.99 on iTunes so, go buy it right now.

That'll do it for today. Unless I see something that I feel is worth posting about, which is possible. It happened last night so it can happen tonight.

Yeah.

Bye
x
